I was buying irises for the garden and decided to paint them at the same time. Next year hopefully they will bloom and I can transfer yellow, red, maroon and even black irises to canvas.
The painting is done in my “watercolor style”. Thanks to the loose strokes, it feels as if the work is “breathing”. In some places the canvas seems to glow. This gives the painting a special charm.
